Solquartz is developing multiple high purity quartz tenements and associated manufacturing facilities at the Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct in Townsville, Queensland.

Powered by renewable energy, Solquartz will supply sustainable and ethical silicon to the solar PV and battery industries.

Silicon is one of the 20 critical energy minerals identified by the CSIRO in the Critical Energy Minerals Roadmap (2021) with a pathway for the further development of the domestic silicon industry articulated in the Australian Silicon Action Plan (2022).

Silicon is a critical input to multiple energy generation and storage technologies.

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

Governments and financial institutions are aware of the risks of modern slavery in the solar PV and battery supply chains and are the underwriters of new, large scale, renewable energy projects.

Solquartz will produce a sustainable and ethically sourced ‘green’ silicon product.
