Community Drop-In Session
Solquartz and Private Energy Partners (PEP) — are proposing to build a co-located Supernode North Battery Energy Storage System (Supernode North) and Metallurgical Silicon Production Facility near Woodstock.
The Projects will boost the regional economy by employing local people and procuring goods and services from local businesses and contractors, where possible, during construction, operation and decommissioning. The expected lifespan of Supernode North is about 30 years. The expected lifespan of the Metallurgical Silicon Production Facility is 30+ years.
Listening to and working with local communities is important to us. Accepting feedback and addressing reasonable concerns as they arise is a priority to ensure we are a good neighbour. Importantly we will also strive to provide regular updates on each stage of the projects.
Solquartz and PEP will collaborate with the community to establish a Community Partnership Program that provides ongoing benefits for local people. We welcome and encourage any suggestions from the community as we develop this program.

LEIP community drop-in session
Townsville City Council will host a community drop-in session to provide neighbours, landowners and local businesses an opportunity to hear first-hand the plans, goals, opportunities and benefits of the Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct (LEIP).
Our project team will be available at the community drop-in session to provide visitors with the latest information about the Supernode North & Metallurgical Silicon Production Facility. Importantly, this session will also give the community the opportunity to share their thoughts and ask questions about the projects.
